NEWTONVILLE BOOKS READER CLUBS
What is the Newtonville Books Reader Clubs?
In addition to our First Editions Club, we have five (5) different clubs
for readers: the Paperback Club, the Mystery Club, the Young Adult Reader
Club, the Middle Reader Club, and the Picture Book Club.
When you join one of these clubs, you will be offered a choice of 3-5 new
titles based on the club you’re enrolled in--from which you will select
one title. We will then either mail your selection to you via Priority Mail
or hold it for you at the counter. Our selections are chosen from newly released
books and based on literary merit and/or popularity with the general reading
public.
What does it cost to join the Newtonville Books Reader Club?
There is no cost to join and your credit card is charged only at the time
the monthly selection is shipped to you or prepared for your pickup. All
you pay is the publisher’s retail price, plus $5 for shipping and handling.
(There is no shipping charge if you pick the book up at the store.)
Can I return a selection if I choose not to keep it?
You are always welcome to return a selection within ten (10) days for a
full refund or within thirty (30) days for store credit. In both instances
you’ll just need to present your receipt. However, by joining one of
our Reader Clubs, you agree to purchase a set number of books, so each return
will extend your membership by one month.
Can I give someone a membership to one of the Reader Clubs as a gift?
Yes, you can give a membership for a specified time period of twelve (12) months, twenty-four (24) months, or indefinitely. You can also cancel the gift membership at any time without further obligation. We offer free gift wrapping.
